Weekly Playlist: Silent Movies

Photo: Pitch Perfect

We all enjoy watching movies, whether or not for the plot, a certain actor or actress, or simply just for the entertainment. Ideas, settings, costumes, and people all work together to make an enjoyable film. However, music also plays an important part in movies. Some movies are distinctly recognized by a certain song- and without these songs, the movie wouldn't be the same.

This week, after watching countless hours of movies and television shows, I thought it a good idea to make this week's playlist about the movies. I tried to select songs from movies where music was not the main focus, but there are certain movies that have songs, which cannot be ignored because of their popularity. With that said - enjoy the show!

1. I Want You to Want Me- Cheap Trick, John Tucker Must Die

2. Falling Slowly- Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, Once

3. Tubthumphing- Chumbawamba, Fired Up!
